Tzinitzcan is a design and development studio for iOS and Android apps. We take care of every part —the idea, the design, the code, the art, and the sound— just as the amantecas cared for every feather in their mosaics.
A museum of board games you can actually play. More than 12 games with centuries—even millennia—of history, from the Royal Game of Ur of Mesopotamia to the Viking Hnefatafl, the Mexica Patolli, and Conquián, the grandfather of rummy.
Each game comes with its history, its rules, and three rivals from its era. Play alone, with someone by your side, or online with Game Center. And the museum keeps growing: a new game every month.
In Nahuatl, tzinitzcan is the name of a bird from the forests of Mexico, a relative of the quetzal: green on its back, red on its chest, with a long, striped tail. Famous for appearing in the Nican Mopohua evoking the heavenly song that preceded the apparitions of the Virgin of Guadalupe, its feathers were among the most prized by the amantecas, the masters of feather art, for crafting their mosaics.
That's how we want to make apps: few in number, made with patience, caring for every piece until the whole shines.
