Online play uses Game Center. Open Settings › Game Center on your iPhone or iPad and sign in with your Apple account. Then, in the app, tap Online for a random opponent or With friends to invite someone with a link or a code. If no one shows up in a few seconds, you can play against one of the app's characters in the meantime.
In Live mode, both players play at the same time. In Turn-based mode, each person moves whenever they can, and Game Center lets you know when it's your turn. Nine Men's Morris, Conquian, and Cribbage can only be played live.
Complete rules haven't survived for many ancient games. Ludéum follows the reconstructions made by historians and archaeologists, and when there's no consensus, it lets you choose a variant. In every game, the "i" button explains what we know and what we don't.
On each game's page, tap Learn to Play: it's a guided tutorial on Easy difficulty. The "i" cards include the history, an animated explanation, and the complete rules.
The Weekly League and Game of the Week start on Monday, November 2, 2026. Each week runs from Monday at 0:00 to Sunday at 23:59, Central Mexico time. You need Game Center to appear in the rankings.
Your games, stats, and challenges are saved only on the device where you play. Game Center achievements and rankings do follow you to any device with your account.
No. All games are free to play and ad-free. Mecenas is a one-time, optional purchase to support the museum: it adds frames, emblems, pieces, dice, and "Museum-quality" boards.
Open the Mecenas screen and tap Restore Purchases using the same App Store account. If someone in your family made the purchase, it's shared through Family Sharing.
Ludéum is available in Spanish, English, French, German, Portuguese, Catalan, and Italian, and it uses your device's language. To change it just within the app, go to Settings › Ludéum › Language.
On the Games tab, tap the palette button at the top: there you can choose the board style, background, and appearance (System, Light, or Dark). Next to it are the buttons to turn off sounds and music.
